Changes = Freedom
Greetings and Happy April!
Spring is here, and pollen is in the air. Some of our trees and plants are in full bloom, while others are in the midst of change. It looks so beautiful. The temperature is hot, then cold, then comfortable, then…
This reminds me of how change affects humans.
Sometimes we go kicking and screaming away from the change.
Other times, we keep switching our minds on how to proceed with change.
Occasionally we are running towards the change.
Or we slowly but surely embrace the change.
It’s been a couple of years since I began telling my prosperity buddy at our weekly meetings that I just want to focus on my writing.
What I mean by this is my services of dream interpretation by email and psychic readings by email. And writing books, blogs, the Attitude of Cattitude column, and this newsletter. Plus, to create my designs at Pamela’s Purrfect Creations.
To write is to breathe for me. I love the writing zone! Ah, the information that pours through me while doing an email service.
I’ve been doing one-on-one sessions for decades and was getting burnt out on them. Many of my clients were great and I’ll continue to work with a few of them. There were also nightmare clients.
The Worst Client
My worst client told me I would have deep regrets when I made my final boundary with them. Sorry, but I have no regrets about:
The client demands for an immediate session, usually on my day off, vacation, or holidays.
This client would argue or scream at me because they didn’t like the information I received.
The client felt it wasn’t a big deal if they did a no show as they paid me for the missed appointment.
I could go on and on about some of my client’s behaviors. Sadly, it happens in many businesses.
Goodbye to Two Services
The first step I took was to remove the one-hour session and coaching services from my website’s home and service pages. These two pages were still on the dropdown menu.
A while later, I typed how those services were no longer available and added the Click4Advisor button to these two webpages.
When it’s convenient for me, I can log on to Click4Advisor for immediate services at a per minute rate. I enjoy the one-on-one client without the hassle of setting an appointment or taking a payment.
Last week, I thought about possibly going back to doing coaching packages or one-hour sessions. I got a horrible pain in my gut when I went to update those two pages.
A clear sign this was not the way to go!
That gut pain convinced me it was time to do a 301 redirect and delete those two pages. The 301 redirect alerts the search engines of a page removal and forwards the URL to an active page.
Yay! I feel so free deleting those two services!
My next writing project is for a dream interpretation workbook. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns about interpreting dreams I could add to the workbook.
FYI, my books are 50% off at Smashwords.
Blessings,
Pamela Cummins
